Small Groups

Genuine                  Nurturing                     Real

God created people to live in community.  God also designed the church as a community of people.  But for many people, community is hard to find.    Small groups are where people experience true community.  Bemidji Covenant offers you a variety of types of small groups.  Different groups emphasize service, recovery or Bible study.  Different groups with just men, women or couples.  New groups are always getting ready to start.  To learn about joining or starting a new one of the small groups, contact Pastor Dean at dean@bemidjicovenant.com

DINNER FOR 8

Dates & Times Set by each group

Each member of the group will host one dinner during the year.  The main course is provided by the host while others bring side dishes and desserts.  The evening consists of devotion, the meal and fun time getting to know one another.  Contact: Misty Malterud.

FATHERS SMALL GROUP

Dates & Times To Be Determined

Are you a father feeling the pressure of being the spiritual leader for your family? Are you feeling the responsibility of bringing up your children in the ways of the Lord, but don’t feel equipped? The focus of this group will be to further our relationship with Christ and to seek His direction for us as fathers primarily through prayer, Scripture, and shared experiences.  Contact: Kevin Jackson.

FIND YOUR FIT IN ACTION

Dates & Times To Be Determined

If you took Find Your Fit, whether last year or five years ago, now is a great time to put it into action. Take Find Your Fit to a deeper, more personal level. Review your Find Your Fit discoveries, discuss areas that you still have questions about, and identify real applications in your life in a small group setting. Two-session small group. Dates and times to be determined by the group. Contact: Terry Fisher.

JUST WALK ACROSS THE ROOM

Contact individuals below for more information

Bill Hybels has discovered that, rather than fancy formulas or memorized scripts, the absolute highest value in personal evangelism is staying attuned to and cooperative with the movement of the Holy Spirit.  This means playing only the role you are meant to play when a conversation heads in a spiritual direction — walking when the Spirit says to walk, talking when he says to talk, and falling silent when he suggests that you've said enough.  This is a three-week course.  Contact: Pastor Doug Geise or Connie McDaniel.

MEN’S SMALL GROUPS

"Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisors they succeed." Proverbs 15:22
Many men at BECC are experiencing community in groups that has not been a part of their daily work lives, relationships that become so important that nothing would convince them to give up the very group time they initially thought they had no time for! Let us help connect you! Contact:  Kevin Jackson.

Women’s Bible Studies

Bemidji Evangelical Covenant Church offers seven Bible studies: Abigail, Bethel, Esther, Joy, Priscilla, Rebecca and Sarah. Bible studies are a great way to combine Christian fellowship with learning and service in a small group setting. Each Bible study supports the larger Womens Ministry goals of missions, etc. Coordinator:  Wanda Reiger.

YOUNG COUPLES SMALL GROUPS

Couples small groups are forming this fall! If you are interested in deepening your faith, connecting with your spouse on a spiritual level or getting to know other couples at BECC, we would love to talk to you!  If you are interested in starting a couples small group, leader training is offered throughout the year.  Contact: Pastor Doug Geise.
