HEALING IS POSSIBLE
WOMEN’S SUPPORT GROUP
Are you in the process of healing from the effects of childhood sexual abuse? Do you need a safe place where you can talk to other women who understand and can relate? Do you need support and encouragement? Do you need hope that truly is possible? Healing is Possible is a Christ-centered support group for women who have experienced childhood sexual abuse and are in the process of healing from the effects of the abuse. It is a small, confidential closed group (meaning the same women will be meeting each week without new people joining) that meets weekly for eight weeks. This is a safe place where women can come together and support and encourage each other as they share their stories and experiences relating to childhood sexual abuse. The focus of the group is on the message and hope that healing truly is possible. Contact: Amy Shimkus or Lisa Vind through the chruch office 218-751-3699
HOPE FOR THE HURTING
Healing from the effects of the varied forms of child abuse can often times seem overwhelming or even impossible to those who have experienced it. Sometimes a person just needs someone to talk to who understands and can help them sort through the many thoughts and feelings that so often clutter and confuse their lives. We are available to as offer hope, encouragement, and support to those in need. We are not counselors. Contact: Amy Shimkus or Lisa Vind through the church office 218-751-3699
VICTORY IN CHRIST MINISTRY
The Victory in Christ Ministry provides individual help in the process of renewing our minds through obedience and faith so we can live a life holy and pleasing to God (Romans 12:1-2). Jesus told us that truth can set us free. At the core of our emotional wounds are lies, often set in place during childhood traumas. We use a process called Theophostic Prayer to ask Jesus to help in going to the hidden places of emotional pain and asking Him to bring truth and healing to the lies we are believing. Many have received deep healing and freedom through this process. Contact: John and Kathy Landis.
